 Why Buy Genuine Toyota Parts?
You just got the estimate from your mechanic for the minor repairs that need to be made on you two thousand and two Toyota Camry and your jaw has just about dropped to the floor. How could so few repairs on such seemingly little things cost so much? Quickly you do the math for what can be cut from the to-do list to make the final bill more manageable. Well, maybe you don’t need an oil change just this minute, and the wheels can be rotated on the next visit…and do you really need those expensive genuine Toyota parts? Stop right there, friend, because the answer is a wholehearted “yes you do!”

So many car owners make the mistake of repairing their vehicle with generic parts, only to find that they need to replace that part again, and again, and again. The overpowering thought of saving money in the moment totally clouds car owners from seeing that putting generic parts in their Toyota is just about as effective as making car tires out of silly putty – which is to say it isn’t. True, there is an element of respect involved in the decision. Many Toyota owners would consider it disrespectful not to put genuine Toyota parts and Toyota accessories into such a fine and well made vehicle. But in the end it just comes down to a little common sense: why would you spend thousands of dollars on the car in the first place if you were only going to junk it up within the first five years?

Yet it is true that in these tough economic times, the arguments made for the more expensive version of anything, regardless of how right it may be, tend to fall on deaf ears. Many people still turn to generic parts as a quick and inexpensive fix to their needs. It is true; generics cost less and are typically available faster, meaning you can get your repairs done in less time and for less money. Seems like the smart option, for sure, yet it leaves out the fact that generic parts are not certified by the car manufacturers, are meant to be universal and therefore might not fit all the nuances of your particular car, and are cheaper because they are made with lesser quality materials.

Genuine Toyota parts have been custom made for your specific vehicle model and trim to fit perfectly. Not only do they work seamlessly with the original parts, they provide a certain amount of product, material, and quality continuity through the entire car that will help ensure it runs better longer. While this may seem hard to justify for something like a dashboard air conditioner vent, consider parts associated with the power train or internal heating system. Do you want anything less that the certified best in those integral and potentially dangerous places?

The best thing you’ll get with genuine Toyota parts is the peace of mind that what is being put into your car is just as good as the rest of your car. Toyota owners buy Toyotas because of their superb quality, longevity, and safety. Like the car as a whole, individual Toyota parts are tributes to the characteristic excellence that Toyota has come to stand so proudly for over the past few decades. Your genuine Toyota – your trusted vehicle, your safety device, your family car – will be the best it can be when it is full of genuine Toyota parts. It’s not rocket science; it is just plain car sense.
