Hella Lights: Offering Vehicle Owners Quality Craftsmanship and Variety

Great illuminating headlights are offered by the Hella Company, lighting the roadways for owners of a variety of vehicles in Europe and the United States.  Many new products have recently been introduced by the company, including the company’s new line of Xenon hella lights lamps.  In addition to these lamps, consumers will also likely appreciate the new tail lamp upgrade kits the company has created, which have been designed for use on Chevrolet, Ford, Dodge and Toyota vehicles, among others. Over the years they have expanded their lines to include just about any vehicle you can think of.

These lights, accessories and bulbs may be purchased primarily in two different voltages, twelve volt and twenty-four volt.  Many resellers have a more extensive display of twelve volt products, as these are more common and desired among consumers.  In general, the products manufactured and marketed are known for their safety and driving comfort.  Not only do these products adhere to the strict quality standards put in place by the company, the manufacturer has established their reputation over more than a hundred years.  They have, since 1899, been working to create a number of innovations for various types of motor vehicles.

Lights and products may have certain abbreviations attached to them on their packages and in their marketing.  This is done in order to inform consumers of the different regulatory agencies which may be involved in the governing of the automotive lights.  For example, ECE stands for the Economic Commission for Europe and DOT is the abbreviation used for the United States Department of Transportation.  It is important to understand that only lights which feature the respective labels are legal in designated areas.

Only lights with DOT approval have been legalized for use on highways in the United States of America.  Products which are legalized for use on European highways are approved by the ECE.  It is important to note that lights legalized for European highways are not legalized to be used on roads and highways in America due to the different countries guidelines and approvals. It’s often found that the US has higher standards, and therefore it’s important to stick to what is approved.

Nonetheless, there is still a limited amount of use for products and accessories which have not been legalized in either the United States or Europe.  These products are labeled for sale for off-road use only.  As the name suggests, these particular products are legal for off road use only and may not be used on any of the public roads and highways.  Several bulbs manufactured by Hella are high-wattage.  These types of bulbs are not SAE/DOT certified.  As a result, they are intended to be used in off-road or racing situations only.  These types of products need to be used at the discretion of the consumer.

Some of the most popular models include Rallye 4000 Compact Black Euro Beam, 1900 Chrome Driving Lamp, High Performance Xenon Yellow, Performance Xenon Blue, H1, H2, H3 and H4 bulbs, 500 High Performance Clear/Amber Fog Lamps and FF50 Auxiliary. The items offered vary by distributer.

In addition to providing illumination for vehicles on the road, Hella lights are also available for marine vehicles.  Some of the items manufactured for marine vehicles include the NaviLED navigation, the Mega Beam and the new down lights.  The NaviLED Navigation are both attractive and power saving.  Hella’s LED Mega Beam is another very power saving device.  Using only seven watts of power, this LED deck floodlight is very powerful and effective.  As one might expect, the new LED down lights are also very powerful.  In addition, they are power saving and powered by a ring of illumination.
